Send a WhatsApp Template

Once a template is approved, you can send it to a contact from Live Chat, History, or Contacts. This guide covers the direct send flow.

Sending a Template

Open Live Chat or History and open the contact you want to message.
Click the Template button.
In the dialogue, select a template from the list of approved templates, or search by name or category. The template’s language is shown next to its name.

If the template has a header, select the header media to attach.
For each body parameter, choose a value from the dropdown — Name, Number, or Attributes — or type in a static value.
Check the live preview to confirm the message looks right.
Click Send.

Besides sending one-to-one from Live Chat, History, or Contacts, Onbbits offers three other ways to send templates:

Campaigns: Broadcast a template to many contacts at once — select your contacts, add the template, set the parameters, and send. You can also create an API campaign, which generates an API you can call from your own system to trigger the send.
Flows: Add a Template node inside a flow, select a template, and set up its parameters or media. The template sends automatically when a contact reaches that step.
Reminders: From a contact's chat, select a template and choose a date and time. It sends automatically at that time.
