As your business grows, you can invite additional users to your Onbbits app to help manage day-to-day operations. An Agent is a team member you invite to your Onbbits app.
Every Onbbits App has an Owner — the person who created it. The owner can invite other people into the app to help run day-to-day operations. Those people are called Agents.
Think of it like this: the Owner is responsible for the business side of the app — the plan, the invoices, the money. The Agent is responsible for the operational side — talking to customers, running campaigns, keeping contacts organised.
A few terms are worth understanding before you start inviting people.
It’s worth noting that Owner and Agent are roles tied to a specific app, not to your Onbbits account as a whole. The same person could be an Owner of one app and an Agent in someone else’s.
Here’s what an Agent can and can’t do inside the app, broken down by area.
No access at all. Agents can’t view or use Analytics, the Agent management screen, the API section, Subscription, or Billing.
Full access — view, create, and update. Agents can view, create, and update Contacts, Templates, Campaigns, Tags, Media, Tickets, Attributes, Quick Replies, and Flows. They can’t delete records in any of these areas.
Removing an Agent revokes their access to the app immediately. Any chats, campaigns, or templates they created stay exactly where they are — nothing gets deleted or reassigned automatically
